Grace Art spices up life drawing

Grace Art spices up life drawing

Love life drawing, but classes are starting to bore you? Wish the subjects were more interesting? Or just want to rediscover your love of drawing?

Last night I went to my second life drawing class at Grace Art Events, West End, Brisbane. Grace Art Events pride themselves on providing life drawing classes with a twist. Each Wednesday there is a different and inspiring model. They’ve had snake charmers, acrobats hanging from the ceiling, ballet dancers, as well as the occasional traditional nude. Last night we had the pleasure of drawing two burlesque models, the lovely Lita Lynx (pictured) and Esther Belle. The girls posed in wonderful hand made costumes, which were not only visually captivating, but challenging and intriguing to draw.

Everyone was very welcoming, and the classes have a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The offer of help was there if you need it, but there wasn’t any pressure of having someone leaning over your shoulder all night, which I know I appreciated.

You can find the classes at Kurilpa Hall, 174 Boundary Street, West End, Wednesdays 7pm-9pm

Yours in drawing,
Anya
