Welcome to 2011 – What’s your New Year’s Resolution?

Welcome to 2011 – What’s your New Year’s Resolution?

Welcome to 2011!

If you have survived the hangover that is New Year’s Eve (or perhaps you are still struggling!), you may now be focusing your attention to all of the new year’s resolutions that you made during those celebratory drinks!

In general, most New Year’s resolutions involve personal development or improvement such as things like quitting smoking, doing more exercise or giving more to charities. New Year’s resolutions are said to go back as far as possibly 2000 BC with semi-annual festivals held by the ancient Babylonians.

My personal New Year’s resolution is to become more active as I spend a good deal of my day working inside, my aim is to get outside more during 2011 by spending afternoons, evenings and weekends enjoying the outdoors!

If you have never thought about or set yourself a New Year’s resolution before, perhaps 2011 is the year to do it and aim for a goal, even if it is only a small goal.

It’s a great way to start your new year on a positive note and have something to aim towards achieving for the next 12 months.

What’s your new year’s resolution?

One last toast – here’s to 2011, I hope you enjoy!
