Paper at Paris Fashion Week
There has been a dramatic shift away from paper based design in recent years but, after seeing the paper sculptures that made the backdrop of the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week recently, I think paper just may have redeemed itself!
These beautiful handmade sculptures decorated the massive columns and entry staircase of the Cambon-Capucines Pavilion in Paris, where the runway show was held. 7000 flower arrangements of roses, daisies, leaves and petals took 4800 hours to create and 4000m2 of white paper.
So when you next look at that simple piece of white paper, remind yourself that the possibilities are endless. And remember there is nothing more fun than a giant pop-up book!
