Brisbane Winter Festival to liven up CBD

Brisbane Winter Festival to liven up CBD

Living in Brisbane has plenty of perks. Three hundred sunny days a year is one of them – especially for the cold-blooded of us! Although, if you’re like me, and dream of a winter wonderland and a dash of European charm, then get ready for Brisbane’s very first Winter Festival!

Following the success of our fellow capital cities, Sydney and Melbourne, the Australian Winter Festival is coming to Brisbane’s King George Square from June 9 – 26.

You can expect mouthwatering gourmet winter foods, dazzling action on the ice, spectacular ice shows and performances and even a cosy indoor fire at the Lipton Chai Latte Lodge. I reckon the highlight will be stepping out on Brisbane’s largest outdoor ice skating rink (measuring 900m2) – but, be sure to book!

To find out more about this first-time event, visit the Winter Festival website.

Yours in Brisbane festivities,

Julia
