Apple MacBook Air’s Next Generation

Apple MacBook Air’s Next Generation

Apple have now released the new generation of MacBook’s available in an 11 inch and 13 inch screen size. The MacBook Air.

This MacBook runs off a flash drive instead of a hard drive, which, if you already have an iPod, iTouch, iPhone etc… then you already have the experience of using such development. It’s quick and instant.

With a headphone socket, 2 USB connections, SD card slot, and a microphone, this 1.7cm thick computer, weighing 1kg in weight, is definitely one product from Apple I will be picking up in the next couple of weeks! Adding to my question previously about the iPad and Playbook post on what device to get, I now know I would not even bother with an iPad, and would go straight for the new MacBook Air. It runs the standard OSX, so it’s capable of so much more than the iPad and you can connect via Wi-Fi to a nearby computer to run a CD and install software (similar to how the original MacBook Air did). It even has Bluetooth as well!

Apple has stated that: Underneath all that thinness is a full-size, fully capable Mac that can do practically everything its larger siblings can do. Minus a kilogram or two.

Starting from $1,199AUD, and with optional upgrades of up to 4GB in memory and 256GB in flash storage, this will be a big seller. I can’t wait!

Yours in hailing Steve Jobs,
Lee.
