A Little Piece of Paris
Bonjour! I was lucky enough to be taken to Paris last night for three and a half hours of pure indulgence. Paris being conveniently located in walking distance from my house. Montrachet on Given Terrace in Paddington is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. The food is absolutely heavenly and wine selection one of the best I’ve seen. But being a design blog I won’t go into detail about that, rather I will focus on the gorgeous Parisian interior and attention to detail that instantly transports you to beautiful Paris.
From the marble bar, red leather booth seats and ornamental mirrors on the walls to the French posters and candelabras behind the bar Montrachet is Paris. It is at once bustling and vibrant as well as warm, friendly and inviting.
Their branding is subtly present throughout the dining experience with ‘Montrachet’ printed on the rim of all plates and a simple frosted ‘M’ on their beautiful wine glasses.
It is the perfect balance of beautiful design and miss matched Parisian collectibles that makes Montrachet what it is. And my favorite place in Brisbane.
